The Bedtime Routine

The Bedtime Routine

My little girl is fab at settling to sleep but we do have a wee ritual that we go through first which involves a whole lot of sleep aids. Bedtime story - check, Baby Shusher - check, Lulla Doll - check, Herb Farm Sleepwell cream - check, white noise playing - check. Not complaining! If it gets her to sleep then, yay!!! (Just need her to stay asleep now).  You can order the Baby Shusher, bedtime reading and the Sleepwell cream through Hush Little Baby. And we are expecting the Lulla Doll to be in stock in June.

What a fab review of our Sleepytot comforter!!

What a fab review of our Sleepytot comforter!!

My daughter's Sleepytot has been a lifesaver! It took her a few weeks to warm to it, but now we can't leave the house without it. It has seen us through tantrums and teething, and she's able to settle herself back to sleep at night. Much easier to find a dummy in the cot when it's attached to a gorgeous soft bunny. Highly recommended. Sharon Order your Sleepytot today!

Ewan the Dream Sheep

Can't get your hands on a Lulla Doll? Ewan the Sheep plays four different soothing sounds including real womb and heartbeat recordings and radiates a pink glow from his chest resembling the light in the womb. Ewan has won a series of baby awards in the UK, including Baby Association Product Winner 2014 and is available through Hush Little Baby for $59.  Ewan is a cute little snugly sheep that soothes and calms babies to sleep. A hugely popular sleep aid in the UK and just making a name for himself here in NZ!

Favourite bedtime books in our house

'The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep' is a go-to in our house for our Mr two and a half who would rather be playing than go to bed!  This ground-breaking number 1 bestseller, written by Swedish psychologist, Carl-Johan Forseen Ehrlin, promises to send children off to sleep in minutes. The book deploys carefully researched techniques including frequent intentional yawning by the reader, phrases that must be emphasised and instructions to read the text calmly and slowly. The book advises that it not be read to someone driving a car- it really does make you sleepy! I can attest to...
